Launched in 2019, the Code 11.59 collection by Audemars Piguet embodies watchmaking tradition and avant-garde design, distinguished by its unique case architecture and a platform for expressing grand complications.

Presented in a 41 mm 18-carat white gold case, the reference 26394BC adopts the complex architecture of the Code 11.59 collection: an octagonal case middle frame nestled between a round bezel and case back, a discreet nod to the Royal Oak's heritage while asserting its own distinct identity. The finishes alternate between satin-brushed and mirror-polished, creating a refined play of light with every movement of the wrist.

The deep aventurine blue dial, studded with sparkling shards, evokes a night sky. It harmoniously houses the perpetual calendar counters, with a balanced layout and optimized readability. The white gold hands and indexes add a touch of contrast and elegance to the overall effect.

Visible through the sapphire crystal case back, the automatic caliber 5134 is based on the 2120 movement—one of the thinnest in the world—adapted here to incorporate the perpetual calendar complication. This self-winding movement offers a 40-hour power reserve and is distinguished by its fine finishing: Côtes de Genève, circular graining, and hand-polished angles.

Launched in January 2019, this brand new collection sparked both admiration and controversy within the watch community. The name "Code 11.59" represents the commitment of Audemars Piguet to break with convention and create something entirely new and unique. 

The watch features a distinctive case design with a combination of round and octagonal shapes, which is a nod to Audemars Piguet's iconic Royal Oak model. The case is characterized by a multi-faceted construction with an octagonal middle case and a round bezel, which posed significant technical challenges in terms of manufacturing and finishing.
Audemars Piguet has developed specific calibers for this collection including automatic, manual-winding, and high-complication movements, which reflects Audemars Piguet's dedication to craftsmanship and innovation.

The 41mm white gold case, features a flyback chronograph, hours, minutes, small seconds and date.
Under the dial is housed caliber 4401, an automatic movement with its integrated chronograph, resulting in a slimmer and more efficient design rather than modules.
This movement boasts a respectable power reserve of approximately 70 hours.

The watch comes as a full set with its box, outer-box, Audemars Piguet international warranty card, manuals.

The Star Wheel model displays hours and minutes in a novel way on a wristwatch known as “Heure vagabonde”.  Invented in the 17th century at the request of Pope Alexander VII to make it easier to tell the time at night, this watchmaking complication displays the hours using a system of satellites that gravitate along an arched minute scale.

Audemars Piguet rediscovered this complication and introduced the “Star Wheel” model in 1991 with reference 25720. It was not until 2022 that a new Starwheel joined the Code 11.59 collection. 
A return to grace for a historic complication, fused with the modern vision of the Code 11.59 collection.

The 41 mm case combines an octagonal ceramic case middle set between two circular structures in 18-carat white gold, recalling the DNA of the Royal Oak while asserting the unique identity of the Code 11.59. Finishes alternate satin-brushed and mirror-polished, creating a subtle play of light.

This complication relies on a mechanism that is as visually captivating as it is mechanically ingenious: three rotating discs mark the hours, sliding on a 120° arc to mark the minutes. Although reading the time may seem difficult at first, it's actually quite intuitive once you get used to it.

On the 15212NB, the three black discs are mounted on a skeletonized central wheel, carried by a sapphire bridge above an aventurine dial. This design creates a floating sensation, reinforcing the celestial, dreamlike aspect of the dial, with the white, legible hour numerals seemingly floating in space.

The sapphire caseback reveals the Calibre 4310 automatic movement, a derivative of the 4309 with integrated Starwheel module and a 70-hour power reserve.

This atypical and singular model leaves no one indifferent, setting itself apart from more conventional timepieces by conveying a unique experience: that of time flowing differently, almost weightlessly.

The watch is delivered complete with box, outer-box and warranty card.
