The first Royal Oak ref. 5402 designed by the famous Gerald Genta was introduced in 1972. Its release was quite a shock with its unique design, its price much higher than gold watches and its imposing 39 mm size for the era nicknamed “Jumbo”.
Produced between 2012 and 2019, reference 15400 get a 41mm case. The model we have here features a beautiful white dial reflecting the light in a unique way with the "Grande Tapisserie" dial. It has been then replaced by reference 15500ST when a new caliber was introduced.
