The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak was first launched in 1972 with the ref.5402, designed by one of the most prolific watch designer, Gerald Genta.
The famous octagonal bezel with its 8 white gold screws, the “Tapisserie” dial and integrated steel bracelet makes undoubtedly one of the most iconic watch and a cornerstone of Audemars Piguet.
For the 50th anniversary of the model, Audemars Piguet decided to launched a whole new serie of Royal Oak and our present example is one of them. It is a stainless steel 38mm case equipped with new caliber 2385 with a flyback chronograph featuring the very sought-after blue dial.
