Introduced in 1972, the first Royal Oak ref. 5402 was designed by one of the most prolific watch designer, Gerald Genta. Inspired by a scuba diving helmet and designed in one night, this model had no precedent at the time: a 39 mm steel case that earned it the nickname "Jumbo" and its impressive price of CHF 3,750, more than ten times the price of a Rolex Submariner.

Audemars Piguet has always been keen to satisfy its customers with thinner wrists. Until recent years, all models with a case smaller than 34mm were equipped with quartz movements. 

An exception was the reference 15000 introduced in mid-1990 with a 33mm case and an automatic movement, which remained in production for only about ten years. The demand for these smaller automatic watches was growing, and in 2020 we see the introduction of the reference 77350 with a 34mm case and equipped with the automatic caliber 5800 with a 50h power reserve. 

The watch is delivered complete with its box, outer-box, Audemars Piguet international warranty card and a manual.
