The Chronomètre à Résonance is undoubtedly one of the pillars of François-Paul Journe's collection and history. Introduced in 1999 at Basel, the Chronomètre à Résonance uses the energy of both balance wheels to be more precise and to absorb external variations. Introduced in 2010 for the 10th Anniversary of the Chronomètre à Résonance, this model reference RT displays an unusual digital way to read time à 9 o'clock and a more formal analogic way at 3. Its steel surround earned it the nickname of "Parking meter" among collectors.

This first Series R displays two symmetrical analogic dials, a rhodium-plated brass movement and a 38mm platinum case.

Introduced in 2005 when rose gold movements replaced brass ones, the reference RT features a symmetrical design displaying two dials. The case is now available in 40 mm (although some were made in 38 mm), housed the 1499.2 for 1 year before being replaced by the 1499.3 and is recognizable by the rounder shapes of the steel circles around the dials.

The Chronomètre à Résonance is undeniably one of the pillars of the François-Paul Journe collection and history. Introduced in 1999 at the Basel Fair, the Chronomètre à Résonance functions thanks to two balance wheels, each enriched by the energy dissipated by the other, which naturally beat in opposition and enter into resonance. Introduced in 2019 for the 20th anniversary of the Chronomètre à Résonance, the RQ model (stands for "Résonance Quatre" in French, Resonance four) features a brand-new caliber 1520 equipped with a single mainspring and a differential to transmit power independently to both movements. The dial design has evolved, with the sub-dials now united in a single circle of polished steel. The power-reserve indication at 12 o'clock has been simplified and the differential is now visible in the center of the dial. 
With a diameter of 40mm, the platinum case measures 10.8mm thick, an increase of 1.7mm compared to previous references due to the new caliber 1520.

The watch is available as a full set with box, over-box, stamped and dated international warranty card, card protector and cloth, and 3 new F.P. Journe bracelets.
