Introduced in 1932 with ref. 96, the Calatrava collection was designed in the spirit of the Bauhaus aesthetic, emphasizing simplicity, elegance and functionality. It is considered by many to be the most elegant and timeless classic watch ever created, distinguished by sleek dials, elegant hands and balanced cases. 

The ref. 5127 was available in two series: the first from 2005 to 2008 equipped with the caliber 315 SC, then a second series from 2010 to 2012 with the caliber 324SC. 

This model, the successor to ref. 5107 introduced in 2002, features a more modern case with crown protectors that takes up the features of the case of the Worldtime model ref. 5110 introduced in 2000.

The model we have here is in 18-carat rose gold (hence the designation “5127**R**” for rose gold at Patek Philippe) and has an opaline dial with applied hour-markers and dauphine hands.  

On the back, through the transparent screw-down caseback, the calibre 324 self-winding mechanical movement can be seen, offering high precision and a 48-hour power reserve.

While retaining the timeless features of the Calatrava collection, this model succeeds in bringing a more modern design to the case, making it the perfect choice for those who appreciate understated elegance.
