This yellow gold Patek Philippe stands out among all the brand’s collections. This 1970s model dates from a particularly turbulent period for the watchmaking industry. Indeed, the quartz crisis was shaking things up, and some watchmakers decided to take the opposite approach, relying on their talented artisans to develop more complicated and refined mechanical movements and very bold designs.

The Ref. 3633 we have here features a rectangular case (29 x 34 mm) with horizontal fluting. A version with a removable bracelet exists for this reference, unlike the Ref. 3733, which has a fixed bracelet. This atypical design, both simple and complex, balances superbly with the naturally minimalist onyx dial. The dial contrasts with the yellow gold of the case and highlights the dauphine hands for perfect time-reading.

This model is also equipped with the ultra-thin manual-winding Caliber 177, a derivative of Frederic Piguet’s Caliber 21, used by many renowned watchmakers such as Rolex and Cartier. This movement offers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours.

The watch comes with its Patek Philippe archive certificate (currently on order).
