The Rolex Cosmograph was launched in 1963 for racing drivers and the 'Daytona' signature appeared a year later when Rolex became a sponsor of the Daytona 24-hour race in Daytona Beach, Florida. 

Introduced in 2016, reference 116500LN, brought several improvements and new features compared to its predecessor, model 116520.
The main innovation is the introduction of a black ceramic bezel. This has replaced the graduated steel bezel of the previous model. Ceramic is renowned for its resistance to scratches and its durability, which fits perfectly with Rolex's vision of always offering technical improvements to increase the resistance of its models over time.

Equipped with calibre 4130, this movement has a power reserve of 72 hours, 44% longer than the previous generation. This development is due to the increased size of the main spring, facilitated by the space freed up by the use of a single chronograph module. 

This watch comes with its box, outer case, original Rolex warranty (01/2021), bezel protector and manuals.
