Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712 1R
The last of the Nautilus collection.
The origins
A descendant of the Nautilus 3712 produced for only one year in 2005, the legendary reference 5712 was introduced in 2006 in its steel version under reference 5712/1A-001. A pink gold version on a leather strap is available in parallel under the reference 5712R-001.
Long evoked and dreamed of by collectors, it was in 2022 that the Geneva manufacture took the plunge, unveiling at the same time an improved folding clasp.
At the time of writing this blog, the 5712 collection has nearly 4 variations... our sources allow us to say that it won't be for long.
Characteristics
Unlike the leather strap reference, the dial features a sumptuous shaded brown. The case retains an unrivaled thinness thanks to the micro-rotor of the legendary manufacture caliber 240. This horological feat enables the display of an 8.52mm thick case, making the Nautilus the thinnest on the market.
Often criticized for its lack of ergonomics, the folding clasp has been completely redesigned, with a different and much more comfortable opening system. Special mention for an ingenious system allowing you to gain the ease of a half-link with a simple pressure. The folding clasp also displays a splendid decoration of the Calatrava cross.
The Nautilus shape of the steel version makes it perfect on the wrist. This version, in rose gold, doesn't change anything in terms of comfort, but the weight adds a very pleasant feel.
We are happy to offer you the one of the very first copies to appear on the market.
