De Bethune unveiled in 2021 this DB25 Perpetual Calendar in a captivating iteration featuring a green guilloche dial and a new titanium case with integrated lugs. 

The 44mm round case draws inspiration from a drum, exhibiting fine and classic lines accentuated by the distinctive hollowed-out horns characteristic of the DB25 collection.

At 12 o'clock, a sphere in palladium and black oxidized zirconium rests in a sky adorned with gold stars, housing a leap year indicator. The date is elegantly displayed at 6 o'clock, while the day and month windows are positioned at 9 and 3 o'clock, respectively.

This particular model, referenced as DB25QPATIS4, marks a significant evolution by presenting the DB25QP series for the first time in titanium, contributing to the watch's practicality and comfort. The automatic DB2324 caliber, crafted in De Bethune's workshops in Sainte Croix, Switzerland, integrates a perpetual calendar, a precision moon phase indication, a self-regulating double barrel, a triple pare-chute system, and a titanium/grey gold balance.

The watch comes as a full set with its box in a shape of a book, travel pouch, original certificate and manual.

Titanium

De Bethune was founded in 2002 by David Zanetta, an Italian collector, and Denis Flageollet, a fourth-generation watchmaker, who started from scratch to write their own history.

While today's models are boldly avant-garde in design, the company's early models were more traditional and conventional. As early as 2002, 5 models, from DB1 to DB5, were introduced with particularly classic design elements such as Breguet hands, guilloché dial and Roman numerals. A particularly interesting element is the pronounced shape of the ogival lugs, a distinctive feature of all De Bethune cases.

The DB10 model we have here is fully in keeping with this tradition. Made in 2003 in just 21 pieces in both pink and yellow gold, this watch features a 42mm case with slim, classic lines and a silvered guilloché dial creating a sunray effect from the center. The blue-painted Arabic numerals provide a perfect contrast, as do the blued-steel leaf hands for excellent time legibility. This one is part of the first 5 ever made.

Equipped with automatic caliber 2072, this movement features 226 components, a 36-hour power reserve and beats at 21,600 vph.

The watch comes with a certificate of origin and a De Bethune service invoice from 2024.

De Bethune was founded in 2002 by David Zanetta, an Italian collector, and Denis Flageollet, a fourth-generation watchmaker, who started from scratch to write their own story.

While the first De Bethune models were traditional and conventional in design, today's models are bolder and more avant-garde.

In 2023, De Bethune unveiled the DB28 XS, an essentially smaller and more wearable version of the DB28.

The case, made of titanium, measures 38.7 mm wide (43.3 mm with hoops) and just 7.4 mm thick, and features the characteristic recessed hoops that allow the watch to sit easily on the wrist. 

As with many DB models, the dial is a very important part of the watch and, for the DB28 XS, the dial features a ‘random guilloché’ pattern (which De Bethune says is a world first) and is finished with a series of white gold ‘stars’ that appear to float on the surface. Hence the name Starry Seas.

This type of dial, recognisable and much appreciated, is in line with the DB28 Starry Sky or the DB25 Starry Varius.
The watch is also equipped with the DB2005 hand-wound mechanical calibre, which has a 6-day power reserve and numerous innovations patented by De Bethune.

The watch is delivered as a complete set with its book-shaped case, travel pouch, certificate of origin and manual.

Crafted in 2013 in a limited serie of 99 pieces, this chronometer pays tribute to the very first pocket watch made by François-Paul Journe and celebrates the 30th anniversary of the manufacture.

Introduced in 2005, this model, simple in appearance, has all the qualities appreciated in the Journe watches. Journe blued hands contrats perfectly with silvered dial and the dial features a small second and the 56h power reserve indicator. The calibre 1304 made of 18-carats rose gold is visible though the sapphire caseback and housed in a 40mm rose gold case.

Romain Gauthier

The [Prestige HMS](https://geneva.41watch.com/journal/wrist-impressions/romain-gauthier-hms) (for Hours, Minutes, Seconds) draws its inspiration from Gauthier’s original watch (Prestige HM) but the lower part of the dial has been opened to reveal the balance wheel and second gears. The 41mm titanium case is equipped with RG’s first in-house movement, HMS 2206 : a brass movement ruthenium coated with an incredible degree of hand-finishing, as usual with Romain Gauthier.

DB28 collection was introduced in 2010 with the vision of revisiting its classics but using the movement as a dial. Among the many innovations developed by the Manufacture (De Bethune balance spring, triple pare-chute system, 6-day power reserve), we find the famous mobile cradles around the case allowing the watch to adapt to all wrists.

Steel

Launched in 2011, the Chronomètre Bleu was initially designed to be Journe's entry-level watch without any concession to quality. The case is made of tantalum, a very difficult metal to work. The dial is composed of several layers of "mirror polished" varnish that make its reflections unique. The high precision rose gold movement has a 56 hour power reserve.

Moser masters the art of enameling like no other manufacturers. This traditional technique is revisited here by combining the smoked and hammered techniques. The 40mm case is equipped with the HMC 200 caliber with a double balance spring, visible from the transparent caseback.

Creating from scratch a watch with an integrated bracelet without taking inspiration from the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak or the Patek Philippe Nautilus could be a real challenge in 2020. But H. Moser & Cie taken up the challenge and created the Streamliner model with a smoked green dial which is the signature of this young manufacture.

The Octa collection was created with a "simple" idea in mind:to give the best possible degree of precision and autonomy on a wristwatch. The Octa caliber insure precision timekeeping for over five days or 120 hours. The model here is one of the current collection which differs from the previous one discontinued in 2015 with a slight dial design change, its larger date aperture and applied numbers. If there is one model that defines Urwerk, it would be the UR-103. Launched in 2003, this watch with its futuristic design for the time set the stage for all the other models that would follow. MB&F

Every model from Legacy Machine collection share a common feature : the suspended balance wheel, MB&F's signature. The Split Escapement model is no exception to this rule and pushes the limits of watchmaking even further thanks to the movement developed by Stephen McDonnell, which gives the impression that the balance stands alone. The anchor and balance wheel have been moved away from the balance wheel and are only visible on the back side of the watch. In addition to the hour and minute display at 12 o'clock, this model features a power reserve indicator at 4 o'clock and the date at 8 o'clock.
The model we have here is in titanium and was produced at only 33 pieces.

Introduced in 2011 and available in 40mm, the Octa UTC is equipped with caliber Octa 1300.3. This caliber launched in 2001, after 3 years of research and development, was designed with a "simple" idea in mind : to give the best possible degree of precision and autonomy on a wristwatch.
The famous aesthetic of F.P. Journe dials are present with the off-center hours, minutes and small seconds at 3 o'clock. Furthermore the dial features a large date, a power reserve and a dial with the earth divided in time zones. This specific model features a special serial number, making this watch the 100th platinum Octa UTC produced.

Introduced in 2005, this seemingly simple model has all the qualities appreciated by Journe watches. 

Inspired by the marine chronometers of the early 19th century, it was designed in the tradition of chronometry: to indicate the time precisely and consistently. Although the dial is sleek and perfectly balanced, the placement of the power reserve indication at 3 o'clock is a technical feat in itself. Furthermore, the power reserve, as with marine chronometers, indicates how long the watch has been wound - not how much time is left before it stops.

The blued steel Journe hands contrast perfectly with the silver guilloche dial, which features a small seconds hand and displays a 56-hour power reserve. 

The model presented here has a rare 38mm case, available only on request from privileged customers. The caliber 1304 in 18K rose gold, visible through the glass back, has two barrel springs mounted in parallel to ensure perfect stability.

The Tourbillon Souverain is undeniably one of the most famous models of François-Paul Journe. 
This model was a re-edition of the first wristwatch made by F-P Journe. It was launched thanks to the principle of Subscription: collectors wishing to acquire this model, paid for it before the production, allowing F-P Journe to manufacture them. 

Introduced in **1999** at the Basel exhibition, the Tourbillon Souverain was at that time the first tourbillon wristwatch with a "remontoir d'égalité" (or contant force device). 

This **38mm** platinum model has a dial at 3 o'clock, the tourbillon and its cage at 9 o'clock, a power reserve indication at 10:30 and the remontoir at 6 o'clock. The model we have here is part of the** 4th generation** produced between **2001 and 2003**.
