The Nautilus is undoubtedly Patek Philippe's most famous model. Designed by Gerald Genta, who also designed Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak, among others, the Nautilus was launched in 1976 and was the manufacturer's first luxury sports watch made of steel.

Nicknamed “Jumbo” due to its impressive 42 mm diameter, which was large for the time, this model (ref. 3700) had a difficult start, and it wasn't until 1980 that smaller versions appeared as alternatives, with the mid-size automatic ref. 3800, ref. 3900, and the ladies' version ref. 4700.

The Nautilus 3900 is a medium-sized, 33 mm version of the iconic “Jumbo” model, offering a more versatile and compact alternative to the original model while retaining design elements such as the monobloc case and the famous fluted dial. Also known as the “Boy Size” Nautilus, its size makes it perfect for both men and women.

This model, only 6.6 mm thick, is equipped with the E23 SC quartz movement.

The second model in the Nautilus collection to feature a moon phase complication, following the Ref. 3712 released in 2005, the 5712 was an undisputed success from the moment it was launched the following year to mark the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus. 

The 5712 features a blue gradient dial with grooved accents, displaying, in addition to the hours and minutes, a small seconds sub-dial at 4 o’clock, the date and moon phase at 7 o’clock, and a power reserve indicator at 10:30. The atypical layout of these elements creates a perfectly harmonious whole that is hard to resist. Its 40mm case strikes the perfect balance between elegance and sportiness. 

This model is equipped with the 240 PS IRM C LU caliber (for Small Seconds, Power Reserve Indicator, Calendar, and Moon) with a 21K gold micro-rotor.

The 5712R-001, crafted in 18-karat rose gold and fitted with a brown leather strap, offers a warmer, more dressy interpretation of the model. Its subtly smoked, brown gradient dial features an iconic asymmetrical layout: moon phase, power reserve indicator, and date displayed by a hand, giving the watch an instantly recognizable identity.

The 40mm case, with its famous side “ears” and alternating polished and satin-finished surfaces, preserves the Nautilus’s aesthetic DNA while offering an elegant and contemporary presence. The choice of a leather strap accentuates its refined character, providing a more formal alternative to the integrated steel bracelet.

The watch is powered by the automatic caliber 240 PS IRM C LU (for Small Seconds, Power Reserve Indicator, Calendar, and Moon), an ultra-thin movement equipped with a 22-karat gold micro-rotor. It provides a power reserve of approximately 48 hours and is distinguished by the finesse of its architecture as well as its finishes, which comply with the Patek Philippe Seal.

Introduced in 1976, the Patek Philippe Nautilus has established itself as one of the most iconic luxury sports watches in the watchmaking industry. Building on this iconic legacy, Patek Philippe has expanded the collection with models featuring complications. The 5726A-001, introduced in 2010, marked the first time an annual calendar was featured in the Nautilus line, combining technical sophistication with everyday readability.

This stainless steel model retains the Nautilus’s aesthetic DNA while offering a more technical presentation. Its anthracite-gray gradient dial, adorned with the signature horizontal pattern, features a comprehensive display: day and month in windows at 12 o’clock, date at 6 o’clock paired with a moon phase, as well as a discreet 24-hour indicator. The overall design remains perfectly balanced despite the wealth of information.

The 40.5 mm case, with its famous side “ears” and alternating satin-finished and polished surfaces, offers a sporty and elegant presence. Mounted on the integrated steel bracelet, the watch retains all the visual coherence and comfort that have made the model a success since its launch.

The Nautilus 5726A-001 is powered by the automatic caliber 324 S QA LU 24H/303, a manufacture movement featuring an annual calendar capable of automatically distinguishing between 30- and 31-day months. With a power reserve of approximately 45 hours and certified by the Patek Philippe Seal, it combines complexity, precision, and reliability.

Its distinctive case, with its porthole-shaped sides and octagonal bezel, as well as the bracelet, are characteristic features of the Nautilus. 

The Nautilus model reference 5711 was introduced in 2006 to mark the collection’s 30th anniversary. Similar in design to its predecessor, the 40mm-diameter steel case is a modern interpretation of the Nautilus case designed by Gérald Genta, featuring a three-part construction, a sapphire caseback, and now-curved “ears.” This model, through its design, proportions, and finishes, represents a perfect balance between sportiness and elegance. 

Equipped with the Caliber 324 SC introduced in mid-2008, this self-winding movement bears the Patek Philippe hallmark and offers a 45-hour power reserve.

The watch comes as a full set with its box, outer box, 2018 Patek Philippe certificate of origin (Switzerland), document holder, manuals, and Patek Philippe service invoice.

The Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph was launched in 2014 to replace the 5980. The latter was the first Nautilus equipped with a chronograph function. The 5990 has in addition a GMT function, displaying two time zones simultaneously as well as the date. A watch with an iconic design now very versatile.

Nicknamed “Jumbo” thanks to its imposing diameter of 42mm for the era, this model (ref. 3700) has difficult beginnings. It was not until 1981 that the Nautilus ref. 3800 appeared as an alternative thanks to its reduced-size of 37.5 mm.

Available in a range of dial configurations, the most famous remains the ribbed one displaying tones of blue-grey and dark blue particularly deep and appealing. Having a Nautilus in yellow gold is a bit of a paradox but the contrast with the blue dial is perfect.

Introduced in 2006, the 5712 was launched to mark the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus collection and only one year after the 3712, the first Nautilus displaying a significant number of complications. This model is the perfect balance between the sportiness of the Nautilus and the elegance of horological complications : date, power reserve indicator, moonphase, small second.
Introduced in 2022 with a case and bracelet in rose gold, the 5712/1R-001 is fitted with a brown sunburst dial and a black gradation.

Second reference of the Nautilus collection displaying the moonphase complication, the 5712 was introduced in 2006 to mark the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus and just one year after the 3712. Initially available in steel, the white gold version was released at the same time. 

The 5712G features a grey sunburst dial rather than the traditional blue on steel models. In addition of the hour and minutes, the model displays a power reserve indication at half past 10, date and moon phase display at 7 and a small second at 4. Its atypical case design of 43mm is an excellent balance between elegance and sportiveness.

The model is equipped with caliber 240 PS IRM C LU (for Petite Seconde, Indication de Réserve de Marche, Calendrier et Lune - small second, power reserve indicator, date and moon phase) with a 22k solid-gold micro-rotor.

The watch comes with its box, outer-box, Patek Philippe certificate of origin, manuals, stylus and additional calf leather strap.

The distinctive case, with its porthole-shaped flanks and octagonal bezel, as well as the bracelet, are characteristic Nautilus features. The black dial features a horizontal stripe pattern, giving the watch a sporty look.

The Nautilus reference 3700 was produced in two distinct series - with two subtle variations in bracelet design. The first, reference 3700/1 produced from 1976 to 1982, features a slightly wider strap with a 16mm buckle. The second, reference 3700/11 produced from 1982 to 1990, has a thinner bracelet with a 14mm buckle. 

This model is equipped with the caliber 28-255, a self-winding movement with date, based on Jaeger-LeCoultre's caliber 920, considered by many to be one of the most refined automatic calibers.

The watch comes with a Patek Philippe archive extract confirming the year of production as 1982 and the date of sale as September 28, 1984. The archive extract is dated March 25, 2004.

The second model in the Nautilus collection to be introduced with a moon-phase complication, following ref. 3712 in 2005, the 5712 was an undisputed success when it was launched the following year to mark the 30th anniversary of Nautilus. 

In addition to the hours and minutes, the 5712 features a blue gradient and grooved dial displaying a small seconds at 4 o'clock, the date and moon phase at 7 o'clock and a power reserve indicator at 10.30 o'clock. The atypical arrangement of these elements creates a perfectly harmonious whole that is hard to resist. Its 40 mm case strikes just the right balance between elegance and sportiness. 

This model is equipped with Calibre 240 PS IRM C LU (for Small Seconds, Power Reserve Indication, Calendar and Moon) with a 21K gold micro rotor bearing the Poinçon de Genève hallmark.

The Poinçon de Genève, a watchmaking quality label created in 1883, which guarantees the high quality of manufacture and finishing of watches produced in Geneva, was replaced by the Patek Philippe hallmark in spring 2009.

This specificity is therefore only visible on the 5712 models between 2006 and 2009, which makes it a particularly rare model given that it is now produced with a Patek Philippe hallmark.

The watch is delivered with its box, outer box, Patek Philippe certificate of origin, leather holder, booklets and corrector stylus.

The second reference in the Nautilus collection introduced with the moon-phase complication after ref. 3712 in 2005, the 5712 was an undisputed success when it was launched the following year in 2006 to mark the 30th anniversary of Nautilus. 

Initially made in steel, it was revisited in 2022 in rose gold with a rose gold bracelet (5712/1R-001), creating a perfect harmony with its black gradient brown “sunburst” dial.

The Nautilus is certainly Patek Philippe's best-known model. Designed by Gérald Genta, who also designed Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak, the Nautilus model was introduced in 1976 and was the Manufacture's first luxury steel sports watch.

Nicknamed “Jumbo” thanks to its imposing 42mm diameter for the time, this model (ref. 3700) got off to a rocky start, and it wasn't until 1981 that the Nautilus ref. 3800 appeared as an alternative thanks to its 37.5mm diameter. This model remained in production until the early '90s, when it was replaced by the 5800 to mark the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus model. 

The Nautilus ref. 5800/1A-001 is a modern update of Gérald Genta's original design. The case, still monobloc, now features an open case back and has been slightly enlarged compared to the 3800.
The famous grooved dial retains its characteristic hue, varying from midnight blue to a uniquely deep grey/blue. The major difference is visible in the hour-markers, whose outer edges follow the curvature of the case (like modern models from this date onwards), and the hands, which are larger, both filled with luminova.

The open caseback reveals the Patek Philippe 330 SC caliber, which bears the Geneva seal.

This model, produced for only 1 year, comes from its first owner, who acquired it at the Patek Philippe Salons in Geneva in 2006. 

The watch is delivered full set with its box, over-box, Patek Philippe certificate of origin, booklets, tag and a Patek Philippe service invoice dated 2018.

The nautilus 4700 is a scaled-down version of the iconic “Jumbo” model, retaining all its design elements such as the monobloc case and the famous ribbed dial. It also boasts a distinctive hue ranging from midnight blue to a uniquely deep grey/blue.

Only 6mm thick, this model is equipped with the E19 quartz movement.

The watch is delivered with its box (interior missing), Patek Philippe certificate of origin, manuals, document holder and original invoice.
